Nous commencerons par mod\u00e9liser les \u00e9coulements de surface en utilisant le mod\u00e8le de Saint-Venant (shallow water). Ce mod\u00e8le est la pierre angulaire des mod\u00e8les g\u00e9ophysiques et est largement utilis\u00e9 pour l\u2019am\u00e9nagement du territoire (barrages, ponts, digues), la pr\u00e9vision des crues et des risques d\u2019inondation. Nous verrons comment pallier certaines lacunes d&#8217;abords en proposant une version multi-couche permettant de mieux prendre en compte les couches limites pour une meilleure observation des processus de friction ou du for\u00e7age par le vent.
